She has a world-wide reputation for knowledge and achievements in doctoral education and researcher careers. She was a member of the MSCA Advisory Group (2013 -17) and an expert on the ERA-SGHRM Working Groups on Open Science Rewards (2016-17), the Professional Development of Researchers (2015-16) and the European Framework for Research Careers (2013-15).

Dr. Eva Méndez

Chair of the European Open Science (OS) Policy Platform
She holds a PhD in Library and Information Science and is an expert on metadata. Dr. Méndez is currently Deputy VP for Scientific Policy, Open Science at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and Research Data Alliance ambassador for Interdisciplinary Research. She is the PI in EU funded projects related to Open Research Data (FAIR4Health and FAIRsFAIR). She has been performing training activities for DCs in OS since 2015, including bootcamps and workshops related to FOSTER, THOR or Edison projects. She has taught different courses on OS to researchers, currently (2020) a virtual F2F course for DCs, and she has a deep experience in OS practices, both from a political and technical perspective. Although UC3M is a partner, she has guaranteed to use her EU-wide recognized expert eyes independently and does not partake in the project’s execution.

Former president of European Council of Doctoral Candidates and Junior Researchers (Eurodoc). Expert on Open Science and Intersectoral Mobility for Dutch Government and European Commission. Irishman living and working in Amsterdam and Brussels.

Dr. Matthieu Lafon

PhD in cognitive psychology
He worked for three years in a renowned French company in the energy sector, after which he co-founded Adoc Talent Management, in 2008. As Head of the strategic and international development, recruitment consultant and training consultant, he was also nominated AERES (now HCERES) expert to assess French graduate schools. From 2013 until 2017 Adoc Talent Management conducted the yearly survey ‘Enquête Emploi’, tracking the careers of doctorate holders in the Île-de-France region, in partnership with renowned French HE Institutions (a.o. Ecole Polytechnique, l’Université Paris-Saclay, Sorbonne Universités).

Dr. Evá Hnatková

President of Eurodoc, the European Council of Doctoral Candidates and Junior Researchers
Eurodoc currently represents 28 national associations from 26 European countries representing ECRs. Eva has previous experience within Eurodoc as coordinator of the working group on doctoral training. On behalf of Eurodoc, she has been involved in two H2020-MSCA-ITN projects, SAF21 and Edulia, as a member of the external Advisory Board. She recently defended her PhD in Process Engineering at Tomas Bata University in the Czech Republic, and has taken up the position of Open Science Coordinator at the Czech National Library of Technology.
