From declarations to commitments: Agreement on Reforming Research Assessment

From declarations to commitments: Agreement on Reforming Research Assessment

More than 400 organisations have already signed the Agreement on Reforming Research Assessment. This is of special relevance for Early Career Researchers because the document lays the groundwork for the future of scientific assessment moving from the almost exclusive use of quantitative indicators to a more qualitative approach.

In terms of the Coalition for Advancing Research Assessment (CoARA)

Our vision is that the assessment of research, researchers and research organisations recognises the diverse outputs, practices and activities that maximise the quality and impact of research. This requires basing assessment primarily on qualitative judgement, for which peer review is central, supported by responsible use of quantitative indicators.

By the way, on december 2022 CoARA was launched and the Steering Board elected. Prof. Eva Méndez, member of Advisory Board of Diosi was elected as one of the member of the Steering Board.
